LOCAL BY DESIGN

Your observation stays on your Mac.

Key Recorder has no network service, no account and no analytics inside the application. It is deliberately small enough to inspect.

01

No upload path

The application processes the configured signals locally and writes the result to a CSV file you choose. Your files remain under your own storage policy.

02

Transparent permissions

macOS requires Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions so the app can receive the selected keys outside its own window. It does not read general keyboard input.

03

Know what it does not record

Key Recorder does not identify participants, store experiment metadata, count interactions automatically or replace your lab notebook.
